Asked often, answered straight.

What exactly does an advisor like you do?

Two jobs, mostly. First, I design and manage an investment portfolio built around your goals, your timeline, and your comfort with risk — then keep it on course as markets and life move. Second, I'm your thinking partner for the money decisions along the way: retirement accounts and rollovers, how much to save and where, the kids' 529s, the what-should-I-do moments. You bring the questions; I bring the reasoning.

Do I have enough money to work with an advisor?

If you're asking, almost certainly yes. The account minimum is a deliberately low $5,000, and the tiered fee structure is built to scale from first accounts to multi-million-dollar portfolios. The intro call is free either way — and if you'd be better served elsewhere, I'll say so and point you there.

I've never invested before — is that a problem?

Not even slightly — many of my clients are the first in their families to invest, and "nobody ever explained this to me" is one of the most common things I hear on intro calls. There's no judgment here and no assumed knowledge: we start wherever you are, in English or Spanish, and I explain every account and every recommendation until it actually makes sense.

How much does it cost to work with you?

One asset-based fee that covers portfolio management and financial planning together — tiered, so your rate falls as your portfolio grows. Billed quarterly, no commissions, no surprises. We go through the exact numbers openly in the first conversation, and your fee is set in writing before anything begins.

How the fee works →

What does "fiduciary" actually mean?

It's a legal standard: I'm required to put your interests ahead of mine — not just to recommend things that are "suitable." It's the difference between advice and sales, and it's in writing.

Where is my money held — do I send it to you?

No — and this matters. You never transfer money to Fourzan Financial. Your accounts are opened in your own name at a qualified custodian — Altruist or Charles Schwab — where your money and investments live, visible to you anytime with your own login. What you give me is written authority to manage the investments inside those accounts according to your objectives and risk tolerance, and to help with logistics like setting up contributions or withdrawals to your own linked bank account. The firm's only access to the money itself is the advisory fee you authorize in writing, deducted with an itemized statement each quarter. And because the accounts are already yours, they stay yours — no matter what.

I have a 401(k) from an old job. Can you help with just that?

Yes — old retirement accounts are one of the most common starting points. We'll look at your options together (including the ones that don't involve me managing it) and pick what's genuinely best for you.

Can you help with my kids' savings — 529s and Trump Accounts?

Yes. Setting up and choosing investments for 529 college plans and the new federal Trump Accounts is part of financial planning — and for portfolio management clients it's included at no separate fee. These accounts stay in your name and control; I provide the guidance.
